Mammoth Mountain Trip
Members of Los Angeles Turkish American Association had a blast in Mammoth, CA last weekend. Snow capped mountains, 60ºF to 70ºF degrees sunny conditions and hard core skiers and snowboarders met on March 16th at Mammoth Mountain Inn to enjoy the three day ski/snowboard trip.
Seda and Murat Aksut and Ayse Onur showed beautiful parallel turns on the slopes. Sibel and Murat Kirdar had a wonderful time on their skis and they promised they will be back next year. The rhythm was there. Selin Atagul, Selcen Duygun and Nihan Bol, three goofies and snowboard buddies forever, did not hesitate to drop down to double diamonds and the half pipe. Our teenager guests Merve and Dogukan Onur looked great on their snowboards and they showed signs of perfection. Our youngest guests Almina and Eren Kirdar were the best snowboarders as they improved their skills in a couple of days to take the blue runs. Our hearts went to Taner Onur who could not be on the slopes due to a previous knee injury. Late arrival Meric Taser, tried his best to catch up with the girls.
Our nights were filled with lots of laughter, good food and great company. Chart House, Pita Pitt and a Welcome Fondue at Nihan’s home were delicious.
As we had to say good bye we all were glowing with nice suntan on our faces and lots of smiles…Thank you LATAA for bringing us together and helping us to find the best friends in Los Angeles. Let’s do it again...
